3D printed resins may become brittle, as well as hazy or whitish when they are cleaned with alcohols, such as ethanol and isopropanol IPA, as well as most cleaning fluids

The following is a comparison of conventional alcohols with our recommended cleaning fluids for washing and cleansing 3D printed resins:

  • alcohols, such as ethanol and isopropanol IPA kill the sense of smell, are  flammable and chemically attack prints, causing significant whitening and embrittlement
  • Cleaning Fluid Bio is safe, odorless, biocompatible, does not cause embrittlement, nor chemically attack prints but it can cause whitening of clear prints
  • Cleaning Fluid NW1 Bio is safe, bio based, odorless, bicompatible, does not cause embrittlement, nor chemically attack prints, nor tends to cause significant whitening of clear prints: some uncured and too tender prints may suffer some decrease of transparency
    • Cleaning Fluid UNW1 Bio is safe, bio based, biocompatible with a balsamic fragance, does not cause embrittlement, nor chemically attack prints, nor tends to cause significant whitening of clear prints: provides the maximum clarity and transparency of clear 3D prints since provides the lowest risk of causing whitening of clear prints
    • Cleaning Fluid UNW2 Bio is safe, odorless, biocompatible, does not cause embrittlement, nor chemically attack prints, nor tends to cause significant whitening of clear prints: provides the maximum clarity and transparency of clear 3D prints since provides the lowest risk of causing even mild whitening of clear prints
