3D-ADD UVP2, black color UV protection additive
Product description
3D-ADD UVP2 is a black color UV Protection additive for protecting 3Dresyns against degradation caused by long term UV light exposure.
It protects 3D printed 3Dresyns from UVA (320 to 400 nm), UVB (280 to 320 nm) and UVC (200 to 280 nm). It is supplied as a kit for measuring, mixing, storing and protecting 3D resins from daylight.
Application framework
Designed for use in 3Dresyns systems to protect printed materials against degradation caused by long term UV light exposure.
Typical applications
- Protecting 3Dresyns against degradation caused by long term UV light exposure
Measured physical properties
- Recommended dosage: between 0.4-0.8% in high power SLA laser based and DLP printers
- Recommended dosage: between 0.2-0.4% in low power SLA LCD printers to preserve printability
- Black color
Functional performance characteristics
- Protects 3D printed 3Dresyns from UVA (320 to 400 nm), UVB (280 to 320 nm) and UVC (200 to 280 nm)
- Its use can replace the need of using any of our Fine Tuners LB "resolution increasers" to avoid over decreasing printing speed
Processing and handling performance
- Excessive dosage will slow down print speed
- Add it carefully in successive steps of 0.1%, keeping in mind that overdosing can slow down printing speed beyond your expectations
- It is supplied as a kit, which contains the product, one graduated beaker and one empty 250 mL black bottle to measure, mix, keep and protect the 3D resins from daylight
- Please do not expose any 3D resins to natural or room light to prevent their curing.
Chemical and safety characteristics
- 100% Safe Biocompatible UV light protective additive
- Material Safety Data Sheet "MSDS" free of hazards and pictograms
Testing & processing disclaimer
Excessive dosage will slow down print speed, consequently add it carefully in successive steps of 0.1%, keeping in mind that overdosing can slow down printing speed beyond your expectations.
