3Dresyn DIP Bio, our photocurable & scannable Dental Impression Paste
Product description
3Dresyn DIP Bio is our photocurable and scannable dental impression paste for making dimensionally stable rigid, with minor flexibility, dental impressions of complete dentures.
3Dresyn DIP Bio is applied on a standard tray or on a custom designed 3D printed tray, which can be printed with our 3Dresyn OD HT, which requires around 1 mm of spacing to allow for enough paste thickness.
Application framework
Designed for dental impression workflows using standard trays or custom designed 3D printed trays, where a photocurable and scannable impression paste is required for complete denture applications.
Typical applications
- Dental impressions of complete dentures
- Bite registration with minor pressure to avoid distortion
- Scannable rigid dental impressions
- Use on standard trays and custom designed 3D printed trays
Measured mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: <10 MPa (ISO 527-1 / ISO 527-2)
- Flexural strength: <20 MPa (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <30 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: <70% (ISO 527)
- Shore hardness: O0/A90 b/a (ISO 868)
Measured physical properties
- Appearance: translucent whitish non flowing paste
- Curing wavelength: 250 to 410 nm
Functional performance characteristics
- Photocurable and scannable dental impression paste
- Soft non flowing paste before photocuring
- After photo curing becomes hard with minor flexibility
- Rigidity is ideal to prevent distortion of the impression borders
- Good accuracy of surface detail and dimensional stability
- Safe biocompatible translucent whitish non flowing paste
- Scannable with maximum resolution due to its matt finish, ensuring maximum detail of the scans
- Ultra soft before photocuring for easy impression and bite registration with minor pressure to avoid distortion
- Matt translucent whitish rigid impressions with minor flexibility
- Ideal for optimum scanning detail and resolution
- Ultra safe, free of hazards, pictograms and risk phrases
- Excellent adhesion on trays
- Teflonated for easy removal after photocuring
- Dimensional stability
- Easy cutting
- Neutral taste, non acidic, non alkaline
Processing and handling performance
- Applied on a standard tray or on a custom designed 3D printed tray
- Custom designed 3D printed trays can be printed with 3Dresyn OD HT
- Requires around 1 mm of spacing to allow for enough paste thickness
- Can be cured with any UV/visible light source from 250 to 410 nm
- Adheres well to most tray materials
- Fast photo curing in the mouth which can be hardened even more out of the mouth under sunlight or in a light box
- Non flowing thixotropic whitish paste / slurry for optimum clean application without sagging
- Easy to add on the impression trays without leaking into interdental spaces
- Photocurable with standard dental lab light curing units
- Long shelf life
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Safe biocompatible
- Ultra safe, free of hazards, pictograms and risk phrases
- Neutral taste, non acidic, non alkaline
Testing & processing disclaimer
Final impression accuracy, scanning resolution, dimensional stability and suitability for the intended dental workflow depend on tray design, paste thickness, curing conditions and handling protocol, and must be validated by the user.
