3D-ADD NY1 Bio is our Non Yellowing Bio based and Biocompatible additive for reducing the yellowing of any clear or yellowish 3Dresyns.
It reduces yellowing significantly of any 3Dresyns without affecting their print speed. It is supplied in two versions:
- a 100% Safe Biocompatible UV light protective bio based additive with a Material Safety Data Sheet "MSDS" free of hazards and pictograms.
- a 65% Bio content bio based additive with a Material Safety Data Sheet "MSDS" with skin and eye irritancy hazards and pictograms (still biocompatible after curing and post processing)
Its recommended dosage is 1-5%, in successive steps of 1% by weight on top of resin solids. Excessive dosage will create a light bluish tinge of the printed resin.
Methodology:
Add 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5% of 3D-ADD NY1 bio to a small quantity of the resin (eg 10 grams) in a clear plastic cups. Then, cure the resins with different % of 3D-ADD NY1 Bio in the light box for 1 hour. Afterwards, choose the level of clarity/non yellowing as you wish and use the corresponding % of 3D-ADD NY1 Bio for printing.
Note: It is supplied as a kit, which contains the product, one graduated beaker and one empty 250 mL black bottle to measure, mix, keep and protect the 3D resins from daylight. Please do not expose any 3D resins to natural or room light to prevent their curing.
