Description
Description
3D-ADD SHB1 is a universal self-heal booster supplied in a 100% reactive, low-odor medium for SLA/DLP/LCD resins (385–405 nm). It restores cure speed across reuse cycles, accelerates interlayer re-bonding, promotes fine-crack closure, and can slightly lower the activation temperature of your chosen Self-Heal grade. Designed to work seamlessly with clear and pigmented 3D resin systems without adding non-reactive solvents, metals, or amines.
What it does
• Restores and stabilizes cure rate after resin recovery/reuse
• Speeds up local or bulk self-repair within the same Self-Heal window
• Enables room-temperature, light-assisted micro-repairs on delicate parts (Photo variant)
• Improves interface wetting and cohesion for crisper welds
• Preserves optical clarity at recommended use levels
When to use it
• After each heat-reclaim cycle to keep exposure close to fresh baseline
• To shorten repair times on SH-RT / SH-60 / SH-80 / SH-100 / SH-120
• To fine-tune activation when parts cannot tolerate higher temperatures
• For localized, light-assisted sealing of micro-cracks and thin interfaces
Available versions
3D-ADD SHB1 – Photo (Light-Assist Booster)
A light-responsive booster that accelerates self-repair when you can apply a brief, local 385–405 nm exposure. Designed for delicate parts and thin interfaces, it helps close micro-cracks at room temperature or with mild warming, then “locks” the joint with a quick LED flash. Ultra-low odor, 100% reactive, and clarity-friendly at recommended use levels.
Best for: SH-RT and SH-60 workflows, thin optics, fine features, localized touch-ups
What it does: speeds interlayer re-bonding, enhances interface wetting/cohesion, helps stabilize cure rate in reused resin
How to use: dose 0.10–0.30 wt% in fresh resin (start 0.10–0.15%) or 0.40–0.60 wt% in recovered resin; mix under low light, degas; align surfaces, apply gentle pressure; use a short 385–405 nm flash to lock; post-cure per host
Impact on printing: minimal to slight exposure increase—re-optimize base/per-layer on coupons
Compatibility: SLA/DLP/LCD, clear and pigmented hosts (verify in highly filled/opaque systems)
3D-ADD SHB1 – Thermal (Heat-Assist Booster)
A dye-free booster that accelerates heat-assisted self-repair without adding any light-active color. Ideal for pigmented/opaque systems or when you prefer purely thermal activation. Maintains low odor and 100% reactive handling while improving wetting and cohesion at the weld interface.
Best for: SH-60/80/100/120 workflows, pigmented or opaque matrices, bulk joints
What it does: shortens thermal dwell for crack closure, improves weld strength, helps stabilize cure rate across reuse cycles
How to use: dose 0.10–0.30 wt% in fresh resin or 0.40–0.60 wt% in recovered resin; mix under low light, degas; align surfaces, apply the grade’s activation temperature (per SH selection) with light pressure; post-cure per host
Impact on printing: minimal to slight exposure increase—re-optimize on coupons
Compatibility: SLA/DLP/LCD, clear and pigmented hosts; excellent fit where color neutrality is critical
General note
Performance depends on host resin Tg, degree of cure, section thickness, and applied pressure. Validate dosage and activation on internal coupons before production.
Typical properties (as supplied)
• Physical state: clear to very pale yellow liquid
• Odor: very low, neutral
• Viscosity (25 °C): low to medium, vat-friendly
• Density: approx. 0.99–1.10 g·cm⁻³
• Color (APHA): typically < 60 in clear grades
• Composition: 100% reactive medium; no non-reactive solvents, no metals, no amines
Safety & handling
Use standard PPE (gloves, goggles, lab coat) and adequate ventilation. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong light during mixing. Consult the SDS before use.
Storage & shelf life
Store tightly closed at 15–25 °C, dry and protected from light. Shelf life: 12 months sealed in original container.
Regulatory & intended use
For industrial/R&D use. Not evaluated for implantable, pharmaceutical, or food-contact applications unless stated in writing.
Ordering
