3Dresyn IM-UHR-WS, ultra rigid and water soluble for high temperature sacrificial injection molding
Product description
3Dresyn® IM-UHR-WS is a water-soluble ultra-high resolution photopolymer developed for the fabrication of precision single-use sacrificial molds and micro-detailed components requiring very fine feature definition and controlled dissolution in advanced molding and casting workflows.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) within controlled professional environments. Suitable for high resolution sacrificial mold fabrication and micro-scale applications requiring exceptional dimensional accuracy, fine feature reproduction and clean post-process dissolution. This material is intended for single-use applications where the mold is removed after processing.
Typical applications
- Ultra-high resolution sacrificial molds for casting and micro-molding processes
- Microfluidic components
- Micro-detailed sacrificial molds for low-volume injection workflows
- Precision casting of polymers, resins and composite systems
- Fine-feature prototyping and master pattern fabrication
Measured mechanical properties
- Shore hardness: D85 (ISO 868)
- Heat deflection temperature (HDT): <140 °C @ 0.45 MPa (ISO 75)
- Tensile and flexural strength: <60 MPa (ISO 527 / ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <3000 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation: <3% (ISO 527)
- Viscosity: <100 mPas at 23°C ± 2°C (ISO 3219)
Functional performance characteristics
- Ultra high resolution capability for micro-scale features
- Sharp edge definition and fine detail reproduction
- Fast dissolution in water
- Excellent dimensional accuracy for complex geometries
- Very low shrinkage
Processing and handling performance
- Printable with most commercial and professional SLA, DLP and LCD 3D printers
- Optimized for low layer thickness printing
- Improved performance with calibrated exposure conditions
- Increased durability of the resin tank
- Metal- and organo-tin free formulation
- Recommended printing temperature: 20–25 °C
- Level of printing difficulty: medium-high
Processing note
Resolution performance strongly depends on exposure calibration, printer optical characteristics and full workflow optimization.
Testing & processing disclaimer
