3Dresyn IM-UHT durable, ultra hard and tough for injection at medium high temperature
Product description
3Dresyn® IM-UHT is an ultra hard and tough mold-making photopolymer developed for the fabrication of durable molds intended for injection of medium-high melting temperature materials.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) within controlled professional environments. Suitable for the fabrication of ultra-rigid molds for demanding molding workflows requiring high rigidity, dimensional stability and elevated thermal resistance.
Typical applications
- Durable molds for medium-high temperature injection
- Molds for engineering thermoplastics
- Rigid technical tooling
- High precision molds requiring high stiffness
- Advanced molding workflows requiring high dimensional stability
Measured mechanical properties
- Shore hardness: D90 (ISO 868)
- Tensile strength: 65–70 MPa (ISO 527)
- Young’s modulus: >3500 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation: <3% (ISO 527)
- Heat deflection temperature: up to 170 °C @ 0.45 MPa (subject to post-cure) (ISO 75)
- Very low viscosity: <300 cps (Brookfield)
Functional performance characteristics
- Recommended for injection of medium-high melting temperature materials
- Ultra hard and tough UHT behavior
- Ultra rigid with minor unavoidable brittleness for its rigidity
- Very high printing resolution down to 20 µm
- Very low shrinkage
Processing and handling performance
- Printable by most commercial and professional SLA, DLP and LCD 3D printers
- Increased durability of the resin tank
- Organo-tin free
Testing & processing disclaimer
Material performance depends on printer type, exposure conditions, mold geometry, post-curing conditions and molding workflow. Final mold performance and service life must be validated under the intended application conditions.
