3Dresyn NPGB1 is our non polar gas barrier resin
Product description
3Dresyn NPCB1 is an SLA, DLP and LCD 3D resin recommended for printing 3D materials with low permeability to non polar gases and fluids, such as Hydrogen (H2), Helium (He) and other non polar gases and fluids.
This formulation is designed to provide low absorption, diffusion and permeability of non polar gases, aromas, flavors and non polar fluids, while maintaining printability on most commercial and professional vat photopolymerization systems.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) for manufacturing printed parts requiring low permeability to non polar gases and fluids.
Typical applications
- Printed parts with low permeability to Hydrogen (H2)
- Printed parts with low permeability to Helium (He)
- Printed parts with low permeability to non polar gases such as N2
- Printed parts with low permeability to aromas, flavors and non polar fluids
Measured mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: <5 MPa (ISO 527-1 / ISO 527-2)
- Flexural strength: <5 MPa (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <10 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: >100% (ISO 527)
- Shore hardness: D40 (A90) / D20 (A70) (ISO 868)
Measured physical properties
- Hydrogen gas permeability: <1000 cm3.mm/m2.day.atm at 0% humidity and 20ºC
- Appearance: clear light yellow color
- Viscosity: <4000 mPas at 23°C ± 2°C (ISO 3219)
Functional performance characteristics
- Low absorption, diffusion and permeability of non polar gases (H2, He, N2, etc), aromas, flavors and non polar fluids
- Choose low or medium hardness
- Shore hardness D40 (A90): medium hardness and rigidity
- Shore hardness D20 (A70): low hardness and rigidity for improved gas barrier properties
Processing and handling performance
- Printable by most commercial and professional SLA, DLP & LCD 3D printers
- Fast printability with even low power LCD printers
- Increased durability of the resin tank
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Low permeability to non polar gases and fluids
Testing & processing disclaimer
Final gas barrier performance, permeability, printability and part performance depend on part geometry, wall thickness, humidity, processing conditions and final curing state, and must be validated by the user.
