3Dresyn PP TD80 Tough D80
Product description
3Dresyn PP TD80 is a tough photopolymer formulation designed to provide a balance between rigidity and controlled flexibility, particularly in thin sections. The material enables the fabrication of durable components with good impact resistance while allowing slight deformation without brittle failure.
This formulation is engineered to deliver a versatile mechanical profile, combining structural stiffness with limited flexibility, making it suitable for functional parts and semi-rigid printing plates requiring controlled compliance.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) within professional and industrial environments for tough, semi-rigid and impact-resistant components.
Particularly suitable for semi-rigid printing plates where limited deformation, improved surface contact and high resolution are required.
Typical applications
- 3D printed plates and panels
- Semi-rigid letterpress printing plates
- Pad printing clichés (enhanced contact vs rigid plates)
- Light-duty flexographic printing plates (low compression applications)
- Relief printing plates with controlled compliance
- Functional components with slight flexibility requirements
- Snap-fit and thin-wall structures
- Engineering prototypes requiring toughness and resilience
Measured mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: >40 MPa (ISO 527-1 / ISO 527-2)
- Flexural strength: >50 MPa (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: 1000–2000 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: <10% (ISO 527)
- Shore hardness: D80 (ISO 868)
Measured physical properties
- Shrinkage: very low (typical)
- Resolution capability: very high (process-dependent)
- Dimensional stability: high
Functional performance characteristics
- Tough material behavior with minor flexibility in thin sections
- Good impact and shattering resistance
- Balanced rigidity and flexibility
- Durable under repeated mechanical stress
- Suitable for thin-walled geometries
- Controlled deformation under load enabling improved surface contact vs rigid plates
- Capability to reproduce fine features for both relief and engraved (pad printing) geometries
Printing plate performance
- Contact behavior: semi-rigid (limited compression)
- Ink transfer: combination of geometry and slight compliance
- Recovery: limited elastic recovery
- Best suited for: letterpress (semi-rigid), pad printing clichés, light flexographic applications
- Flexo note: suitable for low-pressure or high-resolution flexo where limited compression is acceptable
- Pad printing note: improved ink pickup vs rigid plates due to slight compliance
Processing and handling performance
- Printing technologies: SLA, DLP and LCD
- Compatible with most commercial and professional systems when properly calibrated
- Stable processing and reliable printability
- Increased durability of the resin tank during printing
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Biocompatible (final part validation required)
- Synthetic resin base
- Organo-tin free formulation
Testing & processing disclaimer
