Fine Tuner FT2 , ultra fast photo accelerant up to 420 nm
Product description
Fine Tuner FT2 is a fast photo accelerant additive designed to significantly increase the cure speed of 3Dresyns photopolymer formulations, particularly deep-colored resins, in SLA, DLP, LCD and Inkjet 3D printing systems operating with ultraviolet and visible light sources up to 420 nm.
The formulation provides extended absorption into the visible spectrum compared to FT1, enabling improved curing performance in low-power printers and daylight-visible systems.
Fine Tuner FT2 is a faster version of Fine Tuner FT1 and enables higher printing speeds, with the trade-off of reduced resolution when used at higher concentrations.
Application framework
Designed for incorporation into vat photopolymerization workflows using SLA, DLP, LCD, mLCD and Inkjet technologies, especially in low-power printers and systems where exposure parameters cannot be modified.
Typical applications
- Increasing cure speed of deep-colored or highly pigmented resins
- Optimizing performance of low-power SLA, DLP and LCD printers
- Improving printing speed in daylight-visible LCD systems
- Fine tuning cure behavior in fixed-parameter printing environments
Recommended use guidelines
- Recommended wavelength range: 150–420 nm
- Suitable for UV and visible light systems, including 405 nm and visible LEDs, lasers, DLP projectors and LCDs
- Suggested dosage in high-power printers: 0.1 wt% incremental steps
- Suggested dosage in low-power printers: 0.5–1 wt% incremental steps
- Add progressively and mix thoroughly with the base resin before evaluation
Functional performance characteristics
- Significantly increases cure speed in low-power systems
- Improves curing of deep-colored and light-absorbing resins
- Extends absorption into the visible spectrum
- Enables faster printing compared to FT1
- Higher speed may reduce resolution and dimensional precision if overdosed
Processing and handling performance
- Compatible with SLA, DLP, LCD, mLCD and Inkjet workflows
- Essential for printers with fixed light power and exposure time
- Requires careful dosage control to avoid overcure
- Overdosage may lead to loss of resolution, precision and dimensional accuracy
Physical and handling characteristics
- May crystallize at room or low temperature
- Viscosity may increase under cold conditions
- Gentle heating to 60–70°C followed by mixing restores fluidity
- Handle heating carefully (e.g. controlled warming; avoid overheating)
Packaging and use format
- Supplied as a kit
- Includes the additive, one graduated beaker and one empty 250 mL black bottle
- Kit is designed for measurement, mixing, storage and protection from daylight
Testing & processing disclaimer
Final cure speed, resolution and dimensional behavior depend on resin formulation, pigment loading, printer irradiance, wavelength, exposure conditions and post-processing workflow. Optimization must be performed under actual printing conditions.
Disclaimer
This product is supplied as a formulation additive for professional use in photopolymer engineering and additive manufacturing workflows. It is not a standalone printable material. Final printing performance and suitability must be validated by the user according to the intended application.
This technical datasheet should be used together with the relevant processing, calibration, safety and workflow documentation available in the 3Dresyns® Resources section.
