NextGen 3Dresyn TFA80 tough & foldable with Shore A80
Product description
NG 3Dresyn TFA80 is a tough, rubber-like photopolymer formulation designed to provide high elasticity, impact resistance and foldability without fracture. The material enables the fabrication of flexible components with significant deformation capability while maintaining structural integrity.
This formulation is based on a monomer-based (MB) system engineered for high performance during printing, requiring appropriate post-processing to achieve final material stability and safety.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) within professional and industrial environments for flexible, elastomer-like and impact-resistant components.
Typical applications
- Rubber-like functional components
- Flexible housings and protective elements
- Shock-absorbing and damping structures
- Elastic prototypes requiring high elongation
Measured mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: <15 MPa (ISO 527-1 / ISO 527-2)
- Flexural strength: <10 MPa (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <20 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: >50% (ISO 527)
- Shore hardness: A80 (ISO 868)
Measured physical properties
- Shrinkage: very low (typical)
- Resolution capability: very high (process-dependent)
- Color stability: non-settling formulation
Functional performance characteristics
- Tough and flexible material behavior
- Foldable without breaking
- Rubber-like elasticity
- High impact and shattering resistance
- Durable under repeated deformation cycles
Processing and handling performance
- Printing technologies: SLA, DLP and LCD
- Compatible with most commercial and professional systems when properly calibrated
- Stable processing and reliable printability
- Increased durability of the resin tank during printing
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Monomer-based (MB) formulation
- Contains reactive components requiring controlled handling
- Final material safety depends on proper cleaning and post-curing
Processing note
Due to the nature of monomer-based systems, uncured resin may present irritant characteristics. Proper post-processing, including thorough cleaning and complete UV post-curing, is required to achieve the intended final material performance and safety profile.
Testing & processing disclaimer
Material properties are measured under controlled laboratory conditions and may vary depending on printer type, exposure conditions, layer thickness, build orientation and post-processing workflow.
Disclaimer
This material is supplied as a professional manufacturing material for engineering and prototyping workflows. It is not marketed as a finished medical device. Final part performance and suitability must be validated by the user according to the intended application.
