Oxo-Degradable Catalyst ODC1, prodegradant additive for fast biodegradation of 3D prints
Product description
Oxo-Degradable Catalyst ODC1 is a photo and oxo-degradable or prodegradant degradation promoter which speeds up the degradation of 3D printed materials in the outdoor environment.
Additions at dosage of 1% by weight to liquid SLA 3D resins promote that 3D printed materials when introduced to UV/Visible light and heat begin to break down into smaller non hazardous chemicals such as CO2 and water.
This technology exhibits an increase ability for photo degradation of 3D printed materials. Once the photo degradation starts the printed resins have a higher susceptibility for microorganisms and bacterii to break down them into smaller and smaller fragments over time.
Oxo-Degradable Catalyst ODC1 has been designed for safe and eco friendly waste disposal of 3D printed materials.
The goal of this product line is to promote the usage of biodegradable SLA 3D printing by developing eco friendly catalysts made with biodegradable ingredients which are functionalized to react with light.
Oxo-Degradable Catalyst ODC1 accelerates the biological breakdown into biological simpler substances through the action of enzymes from microorganisms. When this process is completed, the initial organic substances are entirely converted into simple inorganic molecules such as water and carbon dioxide.
One of the key objectives of 3Dresyns is to design, make and promote safe and environmentally friendly 3D resyns and additives to ensure safe printing resin handling and disposal.
