Formulation technology transfer for solvent, water based & UV & EB resins, inks, coatings and adhesives
Formulation optimization and industrial implementation for solvent-based, water-based, UV / LED-UV and EB inks, coatings and adhesives — outside the scope of commercial 3D printing resins.
- This page is for application-driven formulation work when you already have a resin/binder platform.
- If synthesis route development and polymer architecture are required, go to Resin Synthesis Consulting.
- If synthesis + formulation must be engineered together, go to Synthesis + Formulation Technology Transfer.
What this service is
We help manufacturers turn formulation intent into stable industrial performance. The focus is application reality: mixing energy, stability, rheology, wetting, cure/drying capability, line speed, and QC reproducibility. This page is formulation-focused; polymer synthesis route development is addressed under Resin Synthesis Consulting.
Systems covered
- Solvent-based and high-solids formulations
- Water-based inks & coatings (including hybrid approaches, project-defined)
- UV / LED-UV curing inks and coatings
- Electron beam (EB) curing systems

Typical objectives
- Increase solids without viscosity instability
- Improve adhesion, rub resistance, chemical resistance and blocking
- Improve stability (storage, shear, temperature cycling)
- Reduce odour / VOC constraints (project-defined)
- Align cure/dry with equipment and line speed constraints
- Define QC tests, acceptance criteria and critical control points
How we work
- 1) Assessment: targets, constraints, baseline, failure modes and test methods.
- 2) Roadmap: formulation options and validation plan aligned with your process.
- 3) Iteration: focused formulation cycles and acceptance testing.
- 4) Transfer: process window, QC checks, supplier options and documentation.
All projects are conducted under NDA. Intellectual property boundaries and technical deliverables are defined contractually prior to project initiation. 3Dresyns does not disclose proprietary third-party formulations, and no transfer of protected formulation architecture occurs beyond agreed project scope.
Engagement structure
Projects requiring rapid iteration cycles or structured knowledge handover are executed with an upfront engagement fee and milestone-based scope definition.
