3Dresyns supplies different photocurable and thermally reactive resins for injection and casting.
3Dresyns RIC are our light and/or heat curable biocompatible viscous resins for Resin Injection and Casting. They can be heated to >60-80ºC to increase their flow for their casting by gravity or with low injection pressure in our durable or sacrificial 3D printed injection and casting molds with economical manual injection equipment.
3Dresyns RIC are ultra safe monomer free viscous resins at room temperature which exhibit:
- excellent injection flow once heated
- unique biocompatibility, since do not contain inherently irritant low viscosity monomers and
- superior mechanical properties, which are extremely difficult to achieve with lower viscosity resins based on monomers, which are weaker in mechanical properties
Summary:
- Shore hardness: 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD80 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD70 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-TFD60 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-TFD40 Bio
- Rigidity (Young modulus): 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD70 Bio ≥ 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD80 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-TFD60 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-TFD40 Bio
- Flexural strength: 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD70 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD80 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-TFD60 > Bio 3Dresyn RIC-TFD40 Bio
- Mechanical strength after dipping in boiling water (100ºC) for 30 minutes): 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD70 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD80 Bio > 3Dresyn RIC-TFD60 > Bio 3Dresyn RIC-TFD40 Bio
- Light fastness (non yellowing) after dipping in boiling water (100ºC) for 30 minutes): 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD70 Bio = 3Dresyn RIC-UTFD80 Bio = 3Dresyn RIC-TFD60 (non yellowing) > Bio 3Dresyn RIC-TFD40 Bio(light yellowing)
- Outdoor light fastness (non yellowing) without heating for 1 day: 3Dresyn UHV-TFD60 (non yellowing) > 3Dresyn UHV-TFD60 >> 3Dresyn UHV-UTFD70 Bio = 3Dresyn UHV-UTFD80 Bio
- Outdoor light fastness (non yellowing) without heating for 1 week: 3Dresyn UHV-TFD60 (non yellowing) = 3Dresyn UHV-TFD60 = 3Dresyn UHV-UTFD70 Bio = 3Dresyn UHV-UTFD80 Bio
Our 3Dresyns RIC can be mixed to get intermediate performance properties and functionalized with our exotic porfolio of custom designed nano and micron materials to make injectable and castable functional photoreactive composites to reach your specifications and performance goals. They are ideal for high productivity since can be injected or cast by gravity in conventional or 3D printed durable or sacrificial molds.
