3D-ADD LDP1 Low Density Powder for decreasing the density of 3D resins
Product description
3D-ADD LDP1 Low Density Powder is a low density biocompatible powder for decreasing the density of 3D resins.
It permits making materials with specific densities by mixing 3D-ADD LDP1 with 3D resins. It is supplied as a kit for measuring, mixing, storing and protecting 3D resins from daylight.
Application framework
Designed for use with 3D resin systems to decrease density in printable composite formulations for SLA, DLP & LCD 3D printing.
Typical applications
- Decreasing the density of 3D resins
- Making materials with specific densities by mixing with 3D resins
Measured mechanical properties
- Compressive strength 8-9 MPa
Measured physical properties
- Low density biocompatible powder with density 0.170 g/mL (bulk density 0.144 g/mL)
- Average particle size: 40 microns (D90) D100: <70 microns
- Oil absorption <40 grams of oil/100 cm3
- Low heat conduction
- Permits making materials with specific densities by mixing 3D-ADD LDP1, with density 0.170 g/mL, with any of our 3D resins, most of them with densities c. 1 g/mL
Functional performance characteristics
- Ideal for decreasing the density of any 3D resin, without affecting significantly their original mechanical properties
- High chemical resistance
- Printable by most commercial and professional SLA, DLP & LCD 3D printers once added to any of our 3D resins
Processing and handling performance
- Printable by most commercial and professional SLA, DLP & LCD 3D printers once added to any of our 3D resins
- It is supplied as a kit, which contains the product, one graduated beaker and one empty 250 mL black bottle to measure, mix, keep and protect the 3D resins from daylight
- Please do not expose any 3D resins to natural or room light to prevent their curing.
- Calculation of desired density: % 3D resin x (1/100) + % 3D-ADD LDP1 x (0.17/100)
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Ultra safe, pictograms free
- 100% biocompatible and safe powder, without any risk pictograms
- Organo-tin free
