3Dresyn LMM Perfect Cast PC3, castable solid photopolymer for printing (non heat meltable after printing) castings for Jewelry by Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing LMM
Product description
3Dresyn® LMM Perfect Cast PC3 is a non-heat meltable after printing castable solid photopolymer developed for printing high-detail castable patterns for jewelry by Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing (LMM).
Application framework
Designed for use in LMM systems within controlled professional environments. Suitable for Direct Investment Casting (DC) workflows requiring ultra-high detail, clean burnout and dimensional precision without melting behavior during thermal processing.
Typical applications
- Jewelry casting patterns
- Direct investment casting (DC)
- Ultra-fine filigree structures
- High precision decorative components
- Complex geometries requiring dimensional stability
Measured mechanical properties
- Residual ash content: <0.0001% (internal method)
- No shrinkage during 3D printing (internal method)
- No expansion during burn-out (internal method)
- Process-dependent viscosity before printing (Brookfield)
Functional performance characteristics
- Photoreactive spreadable butter-like paste with viscosity decrease upon heating before printing
- Non-meltable after printing behavior for controlled thermal degradation
- Ideal for Direct Investment Casting (DC)
- Excellent burn-out without imperfections even with low-cost gypsums
- Negligible residual ash content (<0.0001%)
- Water cleanable (no isopropanol required)
- No shrinkage during printing and no expansion during burn-out
- Excellent resolution and dimensional precision
- Monomer-free formulation for safe handling
- No toxic pictograms
- Organo-tin free
- Does not present reproductive toxicity concerns associated with competitor resins
Processing and handling performance
- Available in magenta, cyan, yellow and natural white colors
- Printable with LMM printers
- No post-curing required
Cleaning
- Prints can be decaked by melting at 40 °C the uncured resin
- Rinse parts thoroughly under warmed water and allow to dry completely
Post-curing
- Light post-curing is not required
Investment casting
Burnout process:
- Insert flask in the preheated oven at 200 °C
- Ramp 2 °C/min up to 550 °C
- Hold at 550 °C for 30 minutes
- Ramp 2 °C/min up to 720 °C
- Hold at 720 °C for 120 minutes
- Ramp −2 °C/min down to 640 °C
- Cast molten metal inside the mold using centrifuge or vacuum casting equipment
Testing & processing disclaimer
Material performance depends on printer type, exposure conditions, geometry, investment material and burn-out cycle. Full validation is required for each specific casting workflow.
