4Dresyn® F-HV1 is a high-viscosity flexible 4D photopolymer designed to exhibit temperature-dependent mechanical behaviour, transitioning from rigid below 15 °C to flexible above 25 °C. It is intended for combination with other 4Dresyn® materials to tune mechanical response within a validated multi-material workflow.

4Dresyn F-HV1, Flexible High Viscosity 4D resin
Product description
Application framework
Designed for SLA, DLP and LCD vat photopolymerisation systems in controlled professional environments. Intended applications include multi-material 4D printing, thermally responsive flexible structures, shape-adaptive prototypes and components requiring controlled stiffness variation. Final actuation and application suitability must be validated in the intended geometry and processing state.
Mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: <10 MPa (ISO 527)
- Flexural strength: <20 MPa (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <30 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: >80% (ISO 527)
- Shore hardness: D40 (ISO 868)
Reported values depend on specimen preparation, printer, exposure, post-curing, conditioning and test method.
Physical properties
- Density: 0.90–1.20 g/cm³, depending on formulation and, where applicable, selected version (ISO 1675)
- Printing shrinkage: no measurable dimensional shrinkage after calibration under validated processing conditions
- Viscosity: optimized within the processing range required for the intended printing process and application
Thermal properties
- Thermal transition range: approximately 15–25 °C
Functional performance characteristics
- Rigid behaviour below 15 °C and flexible behaviour above 25 °C under the stated processing and test conditions
- Low-modulus, high-elongation response above the transition range
- Designed for blending with more rigid 4Dresyn® systems to tune mechanical response and printability
- Organo-tin-free formulation
Foldability, shape change, blocked force, work output, cycle life and durability are geometry- and process-dependent and must be measured for the intended application.
Biological and application limits
This product is supplied as a professional manufacturing material and is not a finished medical device. Where biological contact is intended, suitability depends on the final formulation, printing, cleaning, post-curing, sterilisation where applicable, and biological evaluation of the finished article within an application-specific risk-management process. Material-level positioning does not establish clinical suitability.
Processing and handling performance
- Compatible with SLA, DLP and LCD workflows when properly formulated and calibrated
- High-viscosity material intended for controlled and, where required, thermally assisted processing
- Multi-material compatibility depends on the selected material pair, exchange sequence, printer and post-processing workflow
Testing and processing disclaimer
Material performance depends on printer type, wavelength and irradiance, exposure strategy, geometry, processing temperature, cleaning, post-curing and multi-material formulation. Functional 4D behaviour, flexibility, actuation and durability must be validated by the user under the intended thermal, mechanical and environmental conditions. Safe handling must follow the current SDS and appropriate workplace controls.
