    The Laboratory

Dr. Juan Segurola, Scientific Director of 3Dresyns

Photopolymer science, formulation engineering and additive manufacturing systems

3Dresyns® is the commercial brand of Resyner Technologies S.L., a specialized laboratory dedicated to the design and development of advanced photopolymer material systems for additive manufacturing. The laboratory operates as an independent, privately held practice, with full ownership of its intellectual property and complete autonomy over its research and commercial direction.

3Dresyns works with industrial R&D teams, regulated device manufacturers and advanced research institutions that require material performance beyond the reach of standard commercial resins. Its work spans engineered photopolymer platforms across biocompatible, dental, engineering, conductive, sacrificial, ceramic and metal-feedstock routes, for SLA, DLP, LCD, inkjet and emerging additive manufacturing technologies.

Since 2017, 3Dresyns has supplied materials and conducted technical programs for more than 400 universities and research institutes and over 3,500 companies across 50 countries. Selected research collaborations include institutions such as NASA, MIT, Harvard University, Los Alamos National Laboratory, ESRF and DESY.

    Scientific direction

The laboratory is led by Dr. Juan Segurola, founder and Scientific Director of 3Dresyns. Dr. Segurola holds a PhD in Photochemistry of Polymers from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), completed under the supervision of Professor Norman Allen in collaboration with Swale Process (today part of Sun Chemical). He brings more than thirty years of industrial experience in the science and technology of photopolymer, solvent-based and water-based resin systems, with senior international positions in research, applications and technical management prior to founding 3Dresyns.

Earlier in his industrial career, he received the President's Award at BFGoodrich (today Lubrizol) as Technical Service Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has authored approximately twenty peer-reviewed scientific publications in polymer photochemistry; subsequent industrial research has been retained as proprietary know-how.

    Approach

3Dresyns develops materials as engineered systems rather than as fixed formulations. Performance is understood and validated across the full chain — formulation, exposure, calibration, post-processing and end use — and material platforms are designed to be tunable and reproducible under qualified workflows. This system-level approach is the foundation of the laboratory's work, both in its catalog products and in its proprietary development programs for clients with performance requirements that cannot be met by commercial alternatives.

    Research and intellectual property

Core formulations, chemistries and synthesis routes developed at 3Dresyns are protected as trade secrets. Independent peer-reviewed research using 3Dresyns materials has been published across international scientific journals, including titles within the Nature portfolio (Nature Energy, Scientific Data, Scientific Reports), Advanced Materials, Lab on a Chip, CIRP Annals, IUCrJ, Acta Crystallographica D, Optics Express, the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, among others. The complete reference list is maintained in Publications about 3Dresyns. The laboratory does not disclose proprietary compositions and conducts all client programs under non-disclosure terms.

    Independence

3Dresyns operates without external shareholders, public funding or institutional investors. This structure preserves the laboratory's independence, the confidentiality of its work, and full control over its research priorities and the relationships it establishes with its clients.
