3Dresyn IM-UHR, durable, ultra hard and rigid for injection at high temperature
Product description
3Dresyn® IM-UHR is an ultra hard and rigid sacrificial mold-making photopolymer developed for the fabrication of injection molds intended for very high temperature and high pressure materials, where maximum rigidity and dimensional stability are required.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) within controlled professional environments. Suitable for the fabrication of ultra-rigid sacrificial injection molds for demanding molding workflows requiring maximum stiffness, thermal resistance and dimensional stability.
Typical applications
- Ultra-rigid sacrificial injection molds
- Molds for high temperature plastic injection
- Molds for advanced engineering thermoplastics
- Thin-wall molds requiring extreme rigidity
- High precision tooling for demanding injection workflows
Measured mechanical properties
- Shore hardness: D90 (ISO 868)
- Heat deflection temperature (HDT): >200 °C @ 0.45 MPa (ISO 75)
- Tensile and flexural strength: >50 MPa (ISO 527 / ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: >4000 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation: <2% (ISO 527)
- Very low viscosity: <200 cps (Brookfield)
Functional performance characteristics
- Ultra high rigidity for extreme mechanical stability
- High thermal resistance for demanding injection conditions
- Tack-free finishes after light box post-curing
- Very high resolution once tuned to printer specifications and after full workflow implementation
- Very low shrinkage
Processing and handling performance
- Printable with most commercial and professional SLA, DLP and LCD 3D printers
- Supplied in clear, cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white colors
- Cyan, magenta, yellow and especially black provide higher resolution than clear and white
- Requires controlled exposure due to high stiffness formulation
- Increased durability of the resin tank
- Metal- and organo-tin free formulation
- Recommended printing temperature: 20–25 °C
- Clean and post-cure 3D prints with Cleaning Fluid WS1 Bio
- Level of printing difficulty: medium-high
Processing note
Ultra-rigid materials require optimized exposure settings to avoid internal stresses and potential cracking. Printing parameters must be carefully tuned depending on geometry and printer type.
Testing & processing disclaimer
Material performance depends on printer type, exposure conditions, mold geometry and full workflow implementation. Parameters must be validated by the user for each specific application.
