Typical applications
- Jewelry casting patterns
- Direct investment casting (DC)
- Filigree and complex geometries
- Thick and thin section castable parts
- High-resolution decorative and technical castings
Measured mechanical properties
- Shore hardness: D55–65 (ISO 868)
- Tensile and flexural strength: <4 MPa (ISO 527 / ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <60 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation: <1–2% (ISO 527)
- Heat deflection temperature (HDT): c.25–30 °C @ 0.45 MPa (ISO 75)
- Viscosity range:
- <90,000 mPa·s at 25 °C (very high, poor flow)

- <7,000 mPa·s at 40 °C (very good flow)
- <2,500 mPa·s at 45 °C (very good flow, lower stickiness)
- <800 mPa·s at 60 °C (excellent flow)
- <400 mPa·s at 65 °C (excellent flow, minor stickiness)
- No shrinkage during 3D printing (<1%) (internal method)
Functional performance characteristics
- Photoreactive spreadable butter-like paste with strong viscosity decrease upon heating
- Ultra high viscosity solid resin suitable for direct investment casting (DC)
- Thermoplastic behavior after printing, melting or degrading above 100–200 °C*
- Flows like molten wax upon heating for easy removal by gravity
- 100% ash-free burnout
- Nearly solid before printing, flexible thermoplastic after printing
- Excellent burn-out performance even with low-cost gypsum
- No shrinkage and no expansion during burn-out
- 100% soluble in acetone
- Bio-based from renewable resources (>75–80% bio content)
- Monomer-free formulation for safe handling
- Organo-tin free
Processing and handling performance
- Supplied in clear, cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white colors
- Printable with LMM printers
- Typical exposure times:
- <20–25 seconds for 50 µm layers with medium power 4–8 mW/cm² printers
- <10–15 seconds for 50 µm layers with high power >10–15 mW/cm² printers
- Prints can be cleaned in warm Cleaning Fluid UNW2 Bio
- Post-curing is not required
- Durable resin tank performance
Processing note
*Note. Depending on fine tuner type, dosage, printing and post-curing specifications (including wavelength, power and total energy), the melting temperature range may vary (>100–200 °C or higher). In some cases, parts may thermally degrade instead of melting. In all cases, defect-free castings are obtained.
Instructions for use (IFU)
- Higher temperatures reduce viscosity and stickiness but also reduce rigidity during printing
- Excessive light exposure may reduce melt flow and induce rubbery behavior upon heating
Cleaning
- Prints can be decaked by liquefying at 65 °C the uncured resin
- Rinse parts thoroughly in warm Cleaning Fluid UNW2 Bio
Post-curing
- Light post-curing is not required nor recommended
- Optional light post-curing increases melting temperature
- Excessive exposure may reduce melt flow and induce thermal degradation instead of melting
Investment casting
- Material may melt or thermally degrade during burnout
- Compatible with gypsum and phosphate investments
- Position upside down for gravity removal of molten material
- Then upright for complete ash-free elimination
Testing & processing disclaimer
Material performance depends on printer type, exposure conditions, geometry, investment material and burnout cycle. Full validation is required for each specific casting workflow.
