3Dresyn LMM RSB1 WD, Water Debindable Reactive Solid Binder for water debinding and sintering of Metals and Ceramics printed by Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing LMM

3Dresyn® LMM RSB1 WD is a universal Water Debindable Reactive Solid Binder (spreadable butter-like paste at room temperature <30ºC) developed for water debinding and sintering of metals and ceramics printed by Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing (LMM).

Designed for use in lithography-based additive manufacturing systems within controlled professional environments. Suitable for the preparation of highly filled feedstocks and slurries for ceramic, metal, polymer and exotic material processing with water-based debinding workflows.

• Solid at room temperature, excellent flow upon heating
• Very high resolution of 20 microns in final products

• Add the binder and your chosen ceramic, metal, or polymer powder with powder volume concentrations of up to 50–60% to a powder kneader mixer (or similar) at 50ºC for 30 minutes

• Photoreactive solid binder with pseudoplastic behavior
• Low melting temperature range enabling easy processing
• Excellent flow after melting and before printing
• Compatible with high powder loading mixing processes

• First step: water debinding at 65ºC for 5 hours
• Second step: thermal debinding:
  1. Insert flask in the preheated oven at 65ºC
  2. Ramp 1–2ºC/min up to 250ºC
  3. Hold at 250ºC for 60 minutes
  4. Ramp 1–2ºC/min up to 450ºC
  5. Hold at 450ºC for 30 minutes
  6. Ramp 2–5ºC/min up to sintering temperature
  7. Hold at sintering temperature for 180 minutes
  8. Ramp −2ºC/min down

Material performance depends on powder type, particle size distribution, loading fraction, processing conditions and thermal cycle. Full validation is required for each specific application.
