Purification Kit is a post-processing system designed to support chemical cleansing of 3D printed photopolymer parts following printing and light post-curing
Product description
Purification Kit is intended to assist in the reduction of residual unreacted species and curing byproducts from printed parts as part of a controlled and validated workflow.
Purification Kit is a processing aid for advanced post-processing workflows and does not certify, guarantee or replace biological testing, cytotoxicity evaluation, regulatory validation or device-level qualification.
Application framework
Designed for professional use in advanced post-processing workflows in dental, hearing and biomedical laboratory environments to support reduction of residual monomers and reaction byproducts and assist surface purification of printed parts.
Typical applications
- Support reduction of residual monomers and reaction byproducts
- Assist surface purification of printed parts
- Improve visual appearance of clear or transparent prints
- Support advanced post-processing workflows in dental, hearing and biomedical laboratory environments
Measured physical properties
- Total chemical treatment time: approximately 5–10 minutes following light post-curing
- Purification immersion time: 5–10 minutes at room temperature
- Kit supply format: white powder (50 g)
- Preparation: add 1 L of water to prepare a 5% solution
Functional performance characteristics
- High efficiency surface cleansing when used according to IFU
- Improved whitening and visual clarity of transparent prints
- Powder-based system activated with water prior to use
- Formulated for controlled laboratory and professional use
- This protocol supports reduction of surface extractables
Processing and handling performance
- Always follow the Instructions for Use (IFU) before applying this protocol
- Step 1 – Initial Cleaning: clean printed parts according to the applicable IFU and ensure adequate light post-curing before proceeding
- Step 2 – Purification Immersion: immerse printed parts completely in a flask containing the prepared Purification solution for 5–10 minutes at room temperature
- Step 3 – Final Rinse: rinse parts thoroughly at least twice in clean water to remove any remaining treatment solution
- Mix thoroughly until fully dissolved before use
- Users must independently verify performance within their regulated manufacturing process
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Read the MSDS before use (contains corrosive components)
- Wear protective gloves and goggles
- Avoid skin and eye contact
- Dispose of solutions according to local chemical regulations
Testing & processing disclaimer
This protocol supports reduction of surface extractables but does not substitute biological evaluation. Biocompatibility outcomes depend on resin formulation, printer parameters, geometry and complete workflow validation. Surface chemistry and extractables depend on the complete material–printer–post-processing system and must be validated by the user within their regulatory framework.
