Customization Services
Custom material system development for companies requiring performance beyond standard commercial materials.
3Dresyns develops custom material systems across photopolymers, inkjet materials, binders, additives, auxiliaries, powder-related systems, indirect manufacturing materials and advanced formulations for additive manufacturing and adjacent industrial processes.
These programs are structured material development projects designed to deliver validated, reproducible and implementation-ready material platforms aligned with real manufacturing workflows.
When customization makes sense
- Your required performance cannot be achieved with available commercial materials.
- You need improved process stability, curing behaviour, rheology or workflow reliability.
- You require specific mechanical, thermal, optical, electrical or chemical properties.
- You are developing ceramic, metal, polymer or hybrid material routes requiring binder or feedstock control.
- You need adaptation to a specific printer, process, powder system or manufacturing environment.
- You seek strategic control over a dedicated proprietary material platform.
- You are developing a regulated or performance-critical product.
What you receive
- Structured technical specification phase with clearly defined, measurable targets.
- Custom material architecture design (chemistry platform, formulation strategy and process alignment).
- Prototype development batches for internal evaluation.
- Iterative refinement based on validation and real workflow performance.
- Scalability and implementation guidance for industrial environments.
Material platforms covered
- vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP, LCD)
- inkjet and material jetting systems
- advanced photopolymers (2PP, VAM, NIL, LMM and related)
- binders for ceramic, metal and powder-based processes
- powder feedstock slurries and indirect manufacturing materials
- sacrificial, soluble, castable and mold-making systems
- additives, auxiliaries, fine tuners and functional modifiers
- hybrid and non-standard additive manufacturing material systems
Important: Customization programs deliver validated proprietary material systems. Formulation details, chemical compositions and synthesis routes are not disclosed. All underlying know-how and proprietary platforms remain exclusively owned by 3Dresyns.
Engineering performance window
- Shore hardness: D90 to O30.
- HDT: up to ~290ºC or ultra-flexible systems below -50ºC (architecture dependent).
- Flexural strength: typically >110–130 MPa (application dependent).
- Elongation at break: <1% to >300% (application dependent).
- Water-soluble and sacrificial material systems.
- High-resilience, impact-resistant and multi-functional platforms.
- Rheology, viscosity and process-dependent behaviour tailored to specific equipment.
Regulatory-oriented development
For projects targeting medical or regulated applications, development pathways can be aligned with ISO 13485 manufacturing environments and ISO 10993 testing strategies where relevant. Final regulatory approval and market authorization remain under the responsibility of the customer.
Integration with manufacturing workflows
Material development is performed in conjunction with real manufacturing constraints, including printing, jetting or shaping behaviour, post-processing, debinding, sintering and final application requirements.
This ensures that material systems are designed for implementation, not only laboratory performance.
Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
- All projects are conducted under NDA.
- 3Dresyns does not disclose formulation details, chemical compositions or synthesis routes under customization programs.
- All background and newly developed proprietary know-how remain the exclusive property of 3Dresyns.
- Custom-developed systems are delivered exclusively as proprietary supply platforms.
- No formulation transfer or technology assignment is included in this program.
