3Dresyns® supports application-driven projects through scope-defined engineering services covering additive manufacturing process consulting, custom 3D resin development and 2D formulation / synthesis technology transfer.
Each pathway has a different technical and intellectual-property model.
Navigate by: technical problem, material-development requirement or technology-transfer objective.
These programs are based on 3Dresyns® materials engineering, formulation know-how, additive manufacturing experience and industrial implementation methodology.
Services may be engaged independently or combined where technically appropriate, but the applicable quotation, scope of work or project agreement determines which activities, deliverables and rights are actually included.
Engagement in one program does not automatically include the activities or intellectual-property rights associated with another program.
Custom Materials & Consulting Programs
Structured Additive Manufacturing Consulting
System-level technical consulting focused on materials, printing parameters, process control and manufacturing workflows for SLA, DLP, LCD and other applicable additive manufacturing systems.
This pathway is intended primarily for situations in which the material or process already exists but printing, curing, post-processing or workflow performance requires technical assessment, troubleshooting or optimization.

AM Consulting does not automatically include custom formulation development, technology transfer or disclosure of proprietary 3Dresyns® formulations.
Resin Customization
Structured development or adaptation of ready-to-use 3D printing resins aligned with defined application requirements, target properties and printing technologies.
This pathway is appropriate when existing commercial materials do not adequately meet the customer's required performance target and a custom additive-manufacturing material is required.

- resolution and dimensional-performance tuning;
- application-specific material optimization;
- custom color or functional-property development where applicable;

Resin Customization is designed primarily to deliver a usable custom 3D printing material or material configuration rather than transfer the proprietary formulation architecture behind the 3Dresyns® platform.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement, Resin Customization does not include transfer of the underlying formulation, compositional architecture, synthesis methodology, manufacturing know-how, trade secrets or other proprietary technology used to produce the custom resin.
The development scope, technical objectives, evaluation criteria, supply model, confidentiality conditions and intellectual-property framework are defined according to the applicable project agreement.
Technology Transfer (2D synthesis & formulation)
Structured 2D formulation and synthesis consulting and technology transfer for projects outside the scope of commercial 3D printing resin supply.
This pathway covers solvent-based, water-based, UV, LED-UV and EB systems for inks, coatings, paints, varnishes, adhesives, resins and other agreed functional materials.

Technology Transfer may involve delivery or licensing of specifically agreed formulations, procedures, synthesis methods, manufacturing documentation or know-how.
The exact technology and intellectual-property rights transferred are those expressly identified in the applicable project agreement.
Technology Transfer does not automatically transfer unrelated 3Dresyns® Background Intellectual Property, commercial 3D printing resin formulations, unrelated trade secrets or proprietary technology outside the agreed scope.
How to Choose the Right Pathway
Program selection logic
Select the engagement model according to the primary technical objective.
- The existing additive manufacturing process is unstable or not performing as expected: Structured Additive Manufacturing Consulting.
- An existing commercial 3D resin does not meet the required material or application target: Resin Customization.
- The project requires development and transfer of 2D formulation or synthesis capability for coatings, inks, paints, adhesives or related systems: Technology Transfer.
Consulting versus Custom Development
Different scopes of work
Technical consulting may identify that a material should be modified or that a new material is required.
However, identification of a formulation-development requirement during consulting does not mean that formulation development is automatically included in the consulting engagement.
If custom material development is required, the work may move to a Resin Customization or other development project with a separately defined scope.
Customization versus Technology Transfer
Different intellectual-property models
Resin Customization is primarily a material-supply and custom-development model for additive manufacturing. The customer receives the custom material or agreed material configuration, while the underlying proprietary formulation architecture remains protected unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Technology Transfer is a 2D formulation and synthesis consulting model in which specifically agreed formulations, methods, procedures, manufacturing know-how or other technical capability may be transferred under the applicable project agreement.
The two services should therefore not be interpreted as interchangeable.
Project Framework
Scope-defined execution
Each consulting, customization or Technology Transfer engagement may be governed by an applicable quotation, scope of work, development agreement, NDA or other written project framework.
Depending on the project, this framework may define:
- technical objectives;
- project phases;
- deliverables;
- number or type of development iterations;
- customer responsibilities;
- testing responsibilities;
- success or acceptance criteria;
- project milestones;
- estimated timing;
- fees and payment conditions;
- confidentiality;
- Background Intellectual Property;
- project-generated intellectual property;
- licenses or permitted use;
- exclusivity where expressly agreed;
- technology-transfer rights where applicable; and
- activities expressly excluded from scope.
Material changes to the project objectives or technical requirements may require a revised quotation or scope.
Intellectual Property by Program
AM Consulting
AM Consulting does not automatically transfer ownership of 3Dresyns® materials, formulations, methods, proprietary workflows, software, trade secrets or other Background Intellectual Property.
Resin Customization
Development of a custom 3D resin does not automatically transfer the formulation or proprietary architecture used to manufacture that material.
Technology Transfer
For 2D Technology Transfer projects, specifically identified formulations, synthesis methods, manufacturing procedures, know-how or rights may be transferred, licensed or otherwise made available according to the applicable project agreement.
Customer intellectual property
Customer information, designs, data and intellectual property supplied for a project remain subject to the customer's applicable rights.
3Dresyns® does not acquire ownership of an independent customer invention merely because the Company provides consulting, customization or Technology Transfer services.
Confidentiality
Controlled technical exchange
Projects involving non-public technical information may be subject to the applicable NDA, confidentiality agreement or project-specific confidentiality provisions.
3Dresyns® does not disclose proprietary information belonging confidentially to another customer, supplier or third party.
Likewise, customers should not provide third-party Confidential Information unless they have the legal right to disclose it for the project.
No Implied Exclusivity
Exclusivity must be expressly agreed
Consulting, Resin Customization and Technology Transfer projects are not exclusive merely because a customer commissions or pays for a project.
Any exclusivity concerning a formulation, application, market, territory, technology or field of use must be expressly defined in the applicable written agreement.
Target Properties and Project Outcomes
Objectives are not automatically guarantees
Projects may be established around defined technical targets such as mechanical properties, viscosity, cure response, printing behavior, adhesion, stability, resistance, scale-up performance or other measurable characteristics.
A technical target should not be interpreted as a guaranteed contractual acceptance criterion unless the applicable project documentation expressly identifies it as such, together with the relevant test method, test conditions and tolerance where appropriate.
Results may depend on equipment, raw materials, manufacturing scale, printer condition, processing conditions, customer implementation, geometry, cleaning, post-processing, post-curing and other variables outside the direct control of 3Dresyns®.
Regulated Applications
Technical support is distinct from regulatory approval
Projects may involve materials intended by customers for industrial, dental, biomedical or other regulated applications.
Unless expressly included as a separate contracted service, consulting, Resin Customization or Technology Transfer does not constitute regulatory approval, certification or validation of the customer's final device, Product, formulation or manufacturing process.
The customer remains responsible for determining and validating the regulatory requirements applicable to its final application.
No Customer Access to 3Dresyns® Facilities
Project engagement does not create facility-access rights
No consulting, Resin Customization or Technology Transfer project grants customers, private auditors, notified bodies acting for customers, consultants or other private third parties any right to access, inspect or audit 3Dresyns® facilities, laboratories, manufacturing areas, internal systems, development tools or confidential operations.
Where physical implementation support is required and expressly agreed, 3Dresyns® personnel may provide technical services at the customer's facilities.
Standard Product Support versus Engineering Services
Separate service levels
Routine Product support supplied in connection with a standard Product purchase is distinct from the engineering programs described on this page.
Brief clarification of existing Product documentation or general processing guidance may constitute routine Product support.
Substantial troubleshooting, parameter development, custom resin development, experimental work, training, formulation or synthesis development and Technology Transfer may require a separately contracted engineering service.

When possible, include sufficient non-confidential information to identify the appropriate pathway before detailed technical information is exchanged.

- target properties or performance metrics;
- current baseline at an appropriate high level;
- process constraints;
- manufacturing or equipment constraints;
- regulatory constraints where relevant;
- expected project scale; and
- desired development timeline.
Technical communications are managed in accordance with the 3Dresyns Communication and Technical Support Policy.
How Projects Are Delivered
Delivery depends on scope
Depending on the engagement, project work may involve:
- written technical exchanges;
- technical reports;
- review of customer data;
- remote meetings or videoconferences;
- experimental development where included;
- material development;
- samples or prototypes where included;
- structured documentation;
- training where included;
- Technology Transfer documentation where applicable; and
- technical support at the customer's facilities where expressly contracted.
Fees and Additional Work
Professional engineering services
Consulting, customization and Technology Transfer fees are determined according to the applicable quotation or project agreement.
Activities requested outside the agreed scope may require additional fees or a revised quotation.
Standard Product volume or order-value discounts do not automatically apply to consulting, custom development, Technology Transfer, training or other professional Services.

Governing Principle
3Dresyns® provides three distinct scope-defined engineering pathways: Structured Additive Manufacturing Consulting for process assessment and optimization; Resin Customization for development of custom ready-to-use additive manufacturing materials while preserving proprietary formulation architecture; and 2D Technology Transfer for scope-defined formulation and synthesis consulting where specifically agreed technical capability, formulations, methods or know-how may be transferred under the applicable project agreement.
No program automatically transfers unrelated intellectual property, guarantees a particular technical or regulatory outcome or grants customers access to 3Dresyns® facilities or confidential systems.
