3Dresyn Circular RePrint Bio, Depolymerisable Circular 3D resin triggered at 80 or 150ºC
Product description
This is a 100% circular, bio-positioned 3D resin for SLA, DLP and LCD printing at 385–405 nm that prints solid parts and later depolymerises back to a reusable syrup under a controlled thermal trigger.
Two grades are described: DP80, with a warm trigger around 80 °C, and DP150, with a high-temperature trigger around 150 °C. The system is positioned for circular printing and material recovery workflows.
Application framework
Designed for use in SLA, DLP and LCD systems at 385–405 nm within industrial and R&D environments. Intended for sacrificial molds and cores, reusable tooling and jigs, and circular printing workflows requiring controlled thermal depolymerisation and material recovery.
Typical applications
- Sacrificial molds and cores for CIM/MIM, investment casting and jewelry
- Reusable tooling and jigs that can be melt-out on demand
- R&D into circular printing and material recovery workflows
Measured physical properties
- DP80 trigger around 80 °C
- DP150 trigger around 150 °C
- DP80 activation: 70–90 °C warm bath or oven, 10–60 min depending on wall thickness
- DP150 activation: 135–160 °C oven, 10–60 min
- Exposure: +10–25 % vs. a clear engineering baseline
- Storage: 15–25 °C, dry, dark
- Shelf life sealed: 12 months
- Clear to slightly amber optics
- Clear to light-amber appearance
- Low odor
- Low shrink
Functional performance characteristics
- True circular workflow: liquid → printed solid → liquid (re-print)
- Clean thermal release
- Targeted trigger temperature for process flexibility (80 °C or 150 °C)
- Compatible with common 385–405 nm printers
- Rigid-tough window
- Heat-softening near the selected trigger temperature
Processing and handling performance
- Compatible with common 385–405 nm printers
- Exposure requires re-tuning of bottom and per-layer settings
- Post-cure: standard UV flood
- Avoid extreme over-post to keep the circular pathway efficient
- Exact time/temperature depend on geometry, post-cure, and heating method
- Validate on internal coupons
- Standard PPE (gloves, goggles, coat) and ventilation
- Keep out of sunlight during mixing/printing
- Resin, a graduated beaker, and a black 250 mL bottle for light-protected handling are included
Chemical and safety characteristics
- 100% circular
- Bio-positioned
- Low odor
Testing & processing disclaimer
Exact time/temperature depend on geometry, post-cure, and heating method—validate on internal coupons. Given its advanced technical nature and the fact that effective use may require formulation-specific adjustment and controlled process development, it is offered as part of 3Dresyns proprietary resin customization services.
