3D-ADD Circular RePrint DP80 (Warm-Release Additive)
Product description
DP80 enables depolymerisable printing with a warm activation window, typically ~70–90 °C. Printed parts can be reverted to a reusable liquid suitable for re-printing after simple coarse filtration.
It is designed for clarity, low odor and easy vat handling, and can be used as a modifier or as part of a re-printable formulation depending on the selected use level.
Application framework
Designed for use with SLA, DLP and LCD systems at 385–405 nm. Suitable for sacrificial molds/cores, lost-pattern workflows, educational circularity demos, and clear prototypes requiring gentle, clean removal.
Typical applications
- Sacrificial molds and cores
- Lost-pattern workflows
- Educational circularity demos
- Clear prototypes requiring gentle, clean removal
Measured physical properties
- Warm activation window: typically ~70–90 °C
- Modifier Mode: 10–20 wt% in your host resin (start at 10%)
- RePrint Mode: 40–60 wt% of the total formulation for full re-liquefaction behavior
- Mass recovery: ≥90% on 2–4 mm plates
- Recovered-liquid viscosity: within ±20% of virgin
- Re-print exposure delta: ≤25% for equivalent green strength
- Shelf life: 12 months sealed
- Storage: 15–25 °C, dry and dark
Functional performance characteristics
- Warm release (~80 °C) for gentle removal and low process stress
- High liquid recovery potential compatible with re-use
- Clarity-friendly
- Suitable for clear and lightly tinted parts
- Works on SLA/DLP/LCD (385–405 nm)
- Plug-in to open-materials resins
Processing and handling performance
- Work under low ambient light
- Add DP80 slowly into the host resin under stirring
- Temper to 40–50 °C if needed for fast homogenization
- Degas before filling the vat
- Protect from light (use black bottles or covered tanks)
- Keep your baseline z-lift/peel settings
- Increase exposure +10–25% to compensate for the additive; adjust base and per-layer times
- Use the minimum-effective UV dose needed to reach your target mechanical properties
- Heat parts to ~70–90 °C for 10–60 min depending on section thickness, post-cure level, and heating method
- As material flows, collect the liquid; coarse-filter (≈25–50 μm)
- If re-cure speed seems lower after several cycles, top-up a small dosage of Fine Tuner FT1 and re-optimize exposure
- Print the recovered liquid as usual; expect +10–25% exposure vs. virgin material
- Validate dimensional accuracy and surface quality on test coupons
- Each kit includes the product, a graduated beaker, and a black 250 mL bottle for protected handling and storage
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Low odor
- Industrial/R&D use
- Wear standard PPE
- Ensure good ventilation
- Not evaluated for implant/medical/food contact unless explicitly stated
Testing & processing disclaimer
Printer/process-dependent performance must be validated by the user. Over-post-cure can slow release kinetics. High-opacity or heavy-fill systems require tuning. Given its advanced technical nature and the fact that effective use may require formulation-specific adjustment and controlled process development, it is offered as part of 3Dresyns proprietary resin customization services.
Disclaimer
This material is supplied as a professional manufacturing material and is not marketed as a finished medical device. Final part performance and suitability must be validated by the user according to the intended application.
This technical datasheet should be used together with the relevant processing, calibration, safety and workflow documentation available in the 3Dresyns® Resources section.
