3D-ADD RCC3 Reinforced Composite Concentrate for improving the mechanical properties and electrical insulation of 3Dresyns
Product description
Application framework
Designed for use in compatible SLA, DLP & LCD 3D resin systems as a reinforced composite concentrate for improving physical and mechanical properties.
Typical applications
- Reinforced composite 3D printed materials
- Improving physical and mechanical properties of 3D resins
- Applications requiring improved thermal conductivity without decreasing electrical insulation
- Applications requiring reduced dielectric permittivity and loss of dielectric crystalline phase for high frequency electronics
Mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: (ISO 527-1 / ISO 527-2)
- Flexural strength: (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: (ISO 527)
- Notched Izod impact strength: (ISO 180)
- Shore hardness: (ISO 868)
Physical properties
- Density: 0.90–1.20 g/cm³, depending on formulation and, where applicable, selected version (ISO 1675)
- Viscosity: optimized within the processing range required for the intended printing process and application
- Mohs hardness: 5

- Stable greenish grey paste / slurry
- Additions of 15-25% by weight are recommended to preserve printability in most SLA, DLP & LCD printers and provide significant mechanical improvement of 3D printed materials
Thermal properties
- Thermal conductivity: 2.6-2.80 W/m °K of fiber filler
Functional performance characteristics
- Tensile strength may increase up to 30%
- Flexural strength may increase up to 20%
- Flexural modulus may increase up to 60%
- Notched-Izod impact strength may increase up to 60%
- Improved thermal conductivity without decreasing electrical insulation
- Reduced dielectric permittivity and loss of dielectric crystalline phase for high frequency electronics
Processing and handling performance
- Easy to add and mix in any 3Dresyn
- Please do not expose any 3D resins to natural or room light to prevent their curing.
- Step addtions are recommended to get the optimum and desired overall properties balance for each reinforced composite system.
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Organo-tin free
Testing & processing disclaimer
The effect on the mechanical properties will depend on the original properties of the chosen 3Dresyn and the dosage of the concentrate used. Step addtions are recommended to get the optimum and desired overall properties balance for each reinforced composite system.
