3Dresyn EP2 TFD80, Tough & Foldable for "Emergency Printing" of semi flexible parts: respirator masks, etc..
Product description
3Dresyn EP2 TFD80 is a tough and foldable photopolymer designed for emergency printing of respirator masks and related hospital-use parts.
This material is supplied as samples with no profit to customers who can justify their lack of resources. It is intended to support emergency printing of flexible and semi rigid parts for hospital use in demanding pandemic scenarios.
Application framework
Designed for use in vat photopolymerization systems (SLA, DLP and LCD) within controlled professional environments for emergency printing of flexible, semi rigid and durable parts for hospital use.
Typical applications
- Respirator masks
- Swabs
- N95 masks
- Semi rigid masks
Measured mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: <25 MPa (ISO 527-1 / ISO 527-2)
- Flexural strength: <25 MPa (ISO 178)
- Young’s modulus: <1000 MPa (ISO 527)
- Elongation at break: <50% (ISO 527)
- Shore hardness: D80 (ISO 868)
- Notched Izod impact strength: 85 J/m (ASTM D256 / ISO 180)
Measured physical properties
- Shrinkage: very low
- Temperature performance: non brittle at low (-20C) and high temperature (>120C)
Functional performance characteristics
- Tough, non brittle, with some flexibility and foldability without breaking
- Ideal for printing flexible parts such as swabs, N95 masks and semi rigid masks
- Supplied in two colors: black and cyan
- Semi flexible: good fitting to different face shapes
- Non brittle in a broad temperature range
- High impact and shattering resistance
- Biocompatible
- Durable
- Very high resolution
- Color stability: non settling of color
Processing and handling performance
- Printable by most commercial and professional SLA, DLP & LCD 3D printers
- Increased durability of the resin tank
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Synthetic resin source
- Biocompatible
- Organo-tin free
Testing & processing disclaimer
Final mask fit, flexibility, impact resistance, temperature resistance, printability and suitability for hospital-use applications depend on printer type, exposure settings, part geometry, processing conditions and post-curing workflow, and must be validated by the user according to the intended application.
Disclaimer
