3D-ADD CuVK2C – Concentrated Copper Antimicrobial Additive
Product description
3D-ADD CuVK2C – Concentrated Copper Antimicrobial Additive is a copper-based paste designed for incorporation into compatible 3Dresyn photopolymer systems prior to printing.
It enables the formulation of copper-containing 3D printed parts where controlled copper integration is desired. The additive is supplied as a kit for mixing and light protection during handling.
Application framework
Designed for use in compatible SLA, DLP, LCD and Inkjet 3Dresyn systems prior to printing.
Typical applications
- Functional parts where copper presence and surface interaction properties are required
Measured physical properties
- Supplied as a blue viscous paste
- Up to 30% copper content
- Recommended dosage: ≤3.3% by weight relative to the base resin
- Resulting in ≤1% copper in the final formulation
Functional performance characteristics
- Minimal color shift in dark-colored resins
- Moderate color shift in light-colored resins
- Light bluish tint in clear resins
- Improved dispersion stability when used with 3Dresyn ASC1 Anti-Sedimentation Additive
Processing and handling performance
- Compatible with SLA, DLP, LCD and Inkjet 3Dresyn systems
- Supplied as a kit including the additive, a graduated beaker and a 250 mL black bottle for mixing and light protection
- Avoid exposure of resin formulations to ambient or UV light during handling
Chemical and safety characteristics
- Copper-based additive
- Mineral-based copper source
- Hydrophobic carrier system
Testing & processing disclaimer
The performance of copper-containing printed parts depends on copper concentration, dispersion quality, processing parameters and final part geometry. Any antimicrobial performance claims of finished products must be validated and assessed in accordance with applicable regulations by the legal manufacturer.
