    SLA, DLP & LCD printer and equipment recommendations

    Free Hints (Printer setup & best results)

    Most of our resins can be printed on most commercial SLA, DLP & LCD printers. Below are practical, budget-friendly recommendations to help you get faster tuning, higher consistency, and better mechanical performance.

    1) Printer types that work well

    • Affordable LCD printers (typically €100–€1,000): e.g. Anycubic and most other LCD brands.
    • High precision DLP printers: e.g. Asiga.
    • Laser SLA printers: e.g. Formlabs.

    2) Add a small heater (recommended)

    A low-cost heater (around €50) can keep your resin at a stable 25–40°C, improving consistency and enabling printing of our HV (High Viscosity) resins, which typically deliver superior toughness.

    3) Automate washing & post-curing (even on a budget)

    Washing and post-processing of clear and colored, non-hazy prints can be automated using our IFU for ultra gloss and transparency , even with affordable wash & cure stations (around €100).

    • Example: Anycubic Wash & Cure (or any equivalent unit).
    • Pro tip: use a second extra washing container to implement the IFU faster and more consistently.

    4) Measure your real printer light power (best value upgrade)

    A low-cost light meter (around €50) lets you measure the real irradiance of your printer and monitor power decay over time. This makes exposure tuning faster and more reliable.

    • Depending on printer power, optimum exposure times will increase or decrease. Follow:  Instructions for Use (IFU) & Printing Parameters
    • Complete the cure thickness vs. exposure-time data in the curing rate table for your printer.
    • Optional: Curing rate table can be ordered online (typically €40) for each resin (measured at 405 nm and comparable light power).
    • For maximum accuracy, we recommend using the same light meter model as ours and sharing your measured printer power. This allows our team to measure and provide a curing rate table matched to your irradiance, enabling faster setup of optimum settings.

    Recommended “value for money” setup

    A total budget of < €500 can cover a very capable setup: printer + heater + temperature controller + light meter + wash & cure station. This is a strong starting point for both beginners and professional production.

    Compatibility of 3Dresyns with low-cost and professional printers

    Our 3Dresyns are compatible with most SLA, DLP & LCD printers using lasers, DLP projectors, and monochrome/multicolor LCD panels operating typically between ~350–420 nm. With our visible photo-accelerant additives, compatibility can be extended up to ~500 nm (depending on system configuration).

    We supply made-to-order 3D resins, delivered ready-to-print for your printer specifications. You’ll typically find their printability and final performance exceeds many standard off-the-shelf alternatives.

    Examples include: Formlabs Form 2 & Form 3  and most LCD printers starting from ~€100.
